Nick Verreos grew up in Caracas, Venezuela, and aspired to follow in his father's footsteps as a Diplomat. He later received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at UCLA to help achieve this goal. Despite his interest in international relations, Nick decided to pursue his true passion: Becoming a fashion designer, eventually earning his Advanced Fashion Design Degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM.
In 2001, he started his clothing line, NIKOLAKI, with his partner David Paul. The line has been carried in Henri Bendel, Nordstrom, Fred Segal, and over 100 boutiques worldwide. Celebrities such as Beyonce, Katy Perry, Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, and Carrie Underwood have worn their designs, and they have been shown at various world-renowned Fashion Weeks. Nick also has a secondary line, NV Nick Verreos, that has been sold at Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom, and Dillard’s, as well as on QVC UK, QVC Italy, Canada’s The Shopping Channel, and ShopHQ.
Nick was the winning mentor on "Project Runway: Under The Gunn" as well as a contestant on Season 2 of “Project Runway”. Currently, Nick has been a Consulting Producer on the show for the last four seasons, where he provides invaluable fashion expertise and resources based on his 30+ years of knowledge and connections.
